MT MARTHA BATHROOM RENOVATION
Recently I was lucky enough to help a beautiful customer with her bathroom renovation. She needed help with paint colour, tile selection, vanity colours and wanted an amazing pendant light to set it all off. I must say, it's turned out amazingly and fits the Coastal/Hampton's style of her home. Here are the details of where we purchased everything if you'd like to replicate the look.
We shopped at Ultimate Tiles in Mornington, for the floor and wall tiles. The staff are incredibly friendly and I always find everything I need, plus their prices are really competitive. We selected a large 600x300 porcelain greige toned tile for the floors and back wall behind the bath. Note the soft movement of the veins running through it which adds a touch luxe. The wall tiles on the other three sides of the room are white ripple subway tiles in a gloss to reflect the light, these are laid in a brick formation. The vanity is made completely of blackbutt timber, bringing warmth and natural beauty.
All tap ware is brushed brass and compliments the natural timber accents as well .
The paint colour for ceilings, window frame and window setback is Dulux Lexicon Quarter. Be sure to use Dulux Aquanamel Semi Gloss rather than Super Enamel on the timber trims so they don't yellow off over time when using such a bright white.
The standout piece for me is the light and hands down makes the room into what it is. Feature lighting is everything in a room, and Smith&Smith lighting, a little husband and wife team in Sydney make the most brilliant pieces. This one is called 'Reffro Ripples Champagne Glass Column Pendant Light'. Here is a link to their website so you can browse through their significant collection. Erika and Gavin love to chat with their customers and help them achieve exactly what they require if you cant find it anywhere. https://smithandsmithlighting.com.au
Have a happy week!
