BEAUMARIS HOME, A TRUE HAMPTONS STYLE
It's been an exciting week, I've started a new project in Beaumaris showcasing the true 'Hamptons Style'. The owners renovated the bottom story themselves during Covid and selected some amazing paint colours to enhance the look, now my job is to follow through with this style to the upstairs living and master bedroom, I'll also add in a few pieces of furniture here and there to finish it. In this blog I'll address some easy Hamptons features to add, great paint colours to use and briefly describe what I'm going to do to finish the Beaumaris home.
The owners began by adding wainscoting through the downstairs areas of their home. Wainscoting is added to a plain wall using a moulding which is usually painted in white, and is so very typical of the Hampton's style. It can frame artwork and really dresses up an area beautifully. The colours on the walls here are Dulux Terrace White, and Dulux Vivid White on the trims.
As you can see from this image, the upstairs living room already has the wainscoting panelling applied. We'll continue painting the mouldings in Dulux Vivid White, but the walls will be a warmer tone, Dulux White Duck Quarter as it works so well with the cooler tones of Dulux Terrace White already downstairs. I'll be suggesting a brand new feature pendant light for above the staircase and new pieces of furniture to finish the upstairs living room. As you can see it needs a little love.
Look our for updates on this house in future blogs to see the transformation of it. Have a great week!
