DUNGOG, NSW - A CLASSIC AUSTRALIAN RENOVATION

I feel like the luckiest person alive to help customers with so many different and varied styled homes. This 1930's old beauty is a true Australian classic in Dungog NSW, it's in the Hunter region of NSW. I love the features in them, and this one comes complete with timber baton wall panelling, archways, lead-light, fretwork, feature ceilings and cornices; we certainly don't make them like we used to! This home belongs to my sister in law and we had an online consultation to co-ordinate the new look and make it all happen. Check out the transformation in the before and after shots.

The original paintwork was a rather tired canary yellow with cream trims, and we can't forget to mention the terracotta rendered fireplace, check it all out below! We definitely wanted a more modern, laid back greige tone with a significant enough depth to highlight the gorgeous white ceilings, fretwork and trims. My sister in law also loves blue, so we needed the wall colour to work wonders with her anticipated furnishings in those tones.

Dulux Feather Soft was the answer to all her desires, and as a contrast, the ceilings and trims work brilliantly in Dulux Lexicon Half. I must say its come up a treat, my sister in law is extremely happy and we definitely know where to stay when we're ready for a holiday!

  1. Watch this space…more blue to come. 😆 Although I seem to be learning more to pink at the moment because of the beautiful lead light. Xxx
